Urin Therapy is a progressive band that fuses many styles and influences of music into a completely unique class of heavy, yet melodic music. This group takes the traditional four piece band frame and smashes it, only to piece it back together into something totally new but intriguing. They combine pulverizing metal riffs, groove core, and slow and heart wrenching melodies along with aspects of a jazz or jam band. There style can only be described as defiant, because they refuse to follow any standards or formats in the music scene. One moment a listener may be confronted with shattering distortion and menacing growls, followed by a soul wrenching and dramatic melody.

The band is composed of four senior's attending Winthrop University. With such varied musical backgrounds and cultures, a university was the perfect catalyst to ignite these talented performers. Jose (from Spain), Valli (Iceland), Chris (Mississippi), and Paul (South Carolina) break away from their roles as full time students and use the band as a vehicle to birth an entity that is stronger than it's four parts. Thus, Urin Therapy is born.
